A Warm Welcome to Our New Fellows and Residents
INDEX is honoured to introduce the new cohort of researchers and cultural practitioners who will be staying with us in Lviv, working on their projects as part of the residency or fellowship programmes.
— Eva Peek — culture critic, journalist at the foreign desk of Dutch daily newspaper NRC Handelsblad. She previously wrote book reviews, conducted interviews and produced podcasts for the Literary Supplement, wrote classical music reviews for the Cultural Supplement and authored a monthly column for the Saturday edition's opinion page. She is a co-author of These People Have Their God on Earth. Peek is the Victoria Amelina Fellow at INDEX from July to September.
— Fiona Greenland — PhD, Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Virginia, researcher, writer and a 2024-2025 Research Fellow at the Käte Hamburger Centre for Cultural Practices of Reparations at the Saarland University in Germany. She has published widely on cultural heritage destruction and restitution. Her current project studies Russia's attempt to destroy the Ukrainian nation and explores the work of Ukrainian authors, translators, editors and publishers. Fiona will join INDEX as an Associate Fellow in July and August.
— Aneta Kamińska — Polish poet and performer, editor of anthologies, translator and promoter of contemporary Ukrainian poetry. Works as a methodology supervisor and teacher of Polish for foreigners at the Warsaw University of Technology. Kamińska is a member of the Polish Literary Translators’ Association and the Ukrainian and Polish sections of the PEN Club. She will be an INDEX Scholar in Residence in July.
